The way up to the Saasviene Mountain Pass takes place along the old “Antronesca Road” (“Strada Antronesca”) mule track which is the ancient road linking Villadossola up to SaasAlmagell. At the Mountain Pass we can take a panoramic view of what can be observed from the 4,000 meters of altitude above the Saas Valley, which is where the remnants of an old shelter remain. The path follows on going down the valley up to Furggstalden just above SaasAlmagell. From the Mountain Pass we can also reach Furggstalden via a new panoramic path which reaches up to a chairlift (Heidbodme) which goes down to that area. From Furggstalden, through an equipped path we reach the stage stop at Almagelleralp.
