From Alpe Baranca continue to climb towards the homonymous hill along route 517. At about 1640 meters, there is a chapel created inside a large boulder by the Group Alpini of Fobello. Going up with some hairpin bends, pass near the waterfall formed by the waters that come out of Lake Baranca (1775), source of Stream Mastallone. Wade it at the point where it exits the lake and go to the left bank, quickly reaching the Baranca hill (1818 m) communicating with Olocchia Valley. Then reach Alpe Selle (1824 m), made up of numerous huts, partly renovated. Not far away, beyond a small valley, it is possible to see the ruins of what was the superb Villa Aprilia, destroyed during the last world war. Near a large drinking trough, starts to climb through grazing areas in open environment along the base of Cima dei Turni (2110 m) and then that of the ridge that connects it to Monte Cimonetto. The path carries out a vast semicircle with a south-east direction and leads to Colle d'Egua (2239 m) from which you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Monte Rosa massif. Near the col there is the stone building of Volpone-Sesone Bivouac. From the col following the path 122, go down towards Carcoforo in Val d'Egua passing first from Alpe Sellette, (1915 m) and then, through a grassy scree rich in alpine flora, reaching Alpe Egua at 1799 meters. From here quickly descend to the underlying Alpe Piovale (1637 m), upstream of which the Maierma Refuge (1685 m), owned by the CAI of Boffalora Ticino, is located. Then the path descends remaining upstream of Alpe Giacc and Alpe Casera Bianca; leave the crossroads with the path 121 towards Passo del Laghetto on the right and continue to descend moderately into a larch forest until you reach the Cappelletta delle Torbe which dominates the town of Carcoforo. Reach quickly the first houses upstream of the town and then the center of the village, located on the hydrographic right of the Egua torrent.
