Follow the road that climbs to the Morasco dam and which runs alongside the lake. From the cable car's start, the path begins with some stretches still paved to the Alpe Bettelmatt, one of the production area of the homonymous and renowned cheese. From the alp a rather steep path leads to the Gries Pass. Continue along the mountainside and Lake Gries until the Dam area where a service road begins. Follow this road for two hairpin bends. Then continue to the right, arriving with a short mountainside track along the Nufenenpass road.
