From Trontano, take the educational route of Valgrande National Park through the Faiedo and Parpinasca woods, which leads you up through high mountain pastures. The trail crosses the track a few times, arriving at Alpe Faievo. Continue in the direction of Rifugio Parpinasca, but before Riale, head uphill towards Alpe Drosoni. From here, follow the ridge until the first col, where the trail down to Alpe Pieso is, and continue climbing upwards on the hillside to then emerge at Nava Pass. Follow the top of Alpe Nava, an extraordinary natural balcony with a panoramic view over the plain of Toce, Domodossola and Val Bognanco.

Notes: A hike in the Valgrande National Park  through beautiful beech forests. Upon your return, you can enjoy the amenities at Rifugio Parpinasca, a mountain hut owned by Valgrande National Park.
