This is an easy track suitable for anyone making use of the agricultural road in the plane of Formazza. From Ponte we can cross the town centre up until the wooden bridge on the Toce Lake and then take the pedestrian track which runs along the torrent on the right side up to the road which takes us to the chairlift. We go down to the Valdo town centre, we cross the road bridge, and then promptly turn to the right following the agricultural road which is rather flat and presents a slight descent along the entire valley’s left side until we get to Fondovalle. Here we cross the river on the bridge once again, follow the arrow signs of the G00 Rivasco Premia path, and take an underpass leading us back to the old road which used to be used before the construction of the tunnel. We follow the old road and at the fork in the path toward Altillone we take the unpaved road which first takes us to the lake and then to the small town with a characteristic Oratory. The lake of Altillone is still a small jewel: once upon a time water lilies would flower here, but these have now disappeared due to the drying up of the lake in the year of 1910 in order to conduct hydroelectric work which upset the valley in those years.
